There are still more than 11,000 tickets that need to be sold by Thursday’s 1:05 p.m. deadline to avoid a Southern California television blackout of Sunday’s game between the unbeaten San Diego Chargers and unbeaten Atlanta Falcons, the San Diego Union-Tribune reports.
Both San Diego and Atlanta are 2-0. San Diego got to that point by beating Oakland in Week 1 and Tennessee on Sunday. Atlanta stayed undefeated by beating Kansas City in their opener and then topping Denver on Monday night.
Sunday’s game between the Chargers and Falcons is a 1:05 p.m. start. The game is scheduled to be shown on Fox television, but could be blacked out in this area because of NFL rules that require a game to be sold out or else not be shown on TV.
