The Chargers announced that they have to sell 5,500 tickets by 1:15pm PT on Thursday to avoid having this Sunday’s game against the Bills blacked out on local television.
Kevin Acee of the San Diego Union-Tribune adds that it’s believed that many tickets also remain available for the final home game of the season, a December 18 game against the Baltimore Ravens that is currently scheduled to be played in prime time.
That Week 15 game could be flexed out of prime time to a 1pm PT start, with an announcement from the league expected on Wednesday. NBC and CBS have been battling to obtain broadcast rights for the Denver Broncos-New England Patriots game that is currently expected to air on Sunday afternoon on CBS.
