Rivers and Ajirotutu Need Your Votes

This week, after a impressive win against the Houston Texans, two Chargers players were named as candidates for weekly honors on NFL.com.

Chargers quarterback Philip Rivers, who completed 17 of his 23 passes for 295 yards, 4 touchdowns and an interception, is up for the FedEx Air Player of the Week award. He is in contention with the Giants’ Eli Manning and the Vikings’ Brett Favre for the award. Here is the link for the award voting.

Rookie wide receiver Seyi Ajirotutu, who had 4 catches for 111 yards and 2 touchdowns, was a big spark for the Chargers’ offense against the Texans and is up for the Week 9 Pepsi Rookie of the Week award. He is in contention with Chiefs’ safety Eric Berry, Raiders’ wide receiver Jacoby Ford, Buccaneers’ wide receiver Mike Williams, and Browns’ quarterback Colt McCoy.
