According to Vincent Jackson’s agent, the San Diego Chargers have been notified that the wide receiver will return to practice next Friday and sign his restricted free agent tender after holding out due to a contract dispute.
After reporting on Oct. 29, Jackson will serve his three-game, team-imposed suspension. After the suspension, he will be able to play the last six games of the season and accrue his one last year needed to become an unrestricted free agent.
Initially, Jackson and his agent made it clear that he would not be playing for the Chargers this season. But after not being traded and receiving urges from the NFLPA to sign his tender, Jackson has changed his mind in hopes of making it easier for him to find a new team for the 2011 season.
