Chargers Meet Cowboys Again
The Chargers will face the Dallas Cowboys in preseason action for the 11th time when they play on Saturday. But the teams have not gone up against each other in preseason play since 1990 when the Chargers won 28-16. Dallas has the winning edge with a 6-4 record.

The Chargers continued practice on Monday with two workouts as they prepare for preseason play. Wide receiver Vincent Jackson impressed quarterback Philip Rivers with a strong performance during the morning’s closed session. Fans were allowed at the afternoon practice after 12-thousand people watched workouts over the weekend.

The Chargers have agreed to a five-year contract with Antoine Cason. The first-round draft pick from the University of Arizona will reportedly get six-million-dollars guaranteed and can make over 12-million from added incentives. Cason will join practice today where he will compete for a cornerback position.

The Chargers have signed two draft picks to four-year contracts. Third-round running back Jacob Hester and sixth-round cornerback DeJuan Tribble signed deals with the team. First-rounder Antoine Cason remains as the only draft pick without a deal.

Today the Chargers came to terms with with two of the team’s 2008 draft picks. The team inked today running back Marcus Thomas, a fifth-round pick, and offensive tackle Corey Clark, a seventh-rounder. Thomas ran for more than 1,100 yards last season for UTEP, and Clark was a two-year starter at Texas A&M.
