Gil Alcaraz – Editor

Living in the team-less Los Angeles area since birth, Gil Alcaraz has come to follow and love the San Diego Chargers, Minnesota Vikings and Houston Texans. However, his hopes are still high for a home-town team to root for in the near future. His love for football started around the age of nine while watching former Minnesota Viking quarterback Daunte Culpepper tear apart a baffled Carolina Panther defense. He decided to start his own football career, playing for seven years, including Pop Warner and high school. He even looked to share his love for football with up-and-coming athletes, coaching Pop Warner for three years along the way. After realizing the disappointment of college football upon being recruited as a defensive end and fullback for Occidental College, he has taken to writing about his passion for the past three years, with the last one as a Senior Sports Writer for Occidental. He hopes to someday become a well-known sports writer, sharing his enthusiasm and tenacity with any readers willing to give him their time. With unrelenting passion as well as an unquenchable thirst for sports knowledge, Gil can be counted on for his opinion and insight on anything football.
