Report: Anthony Lynn’s Job with the Chargers Safe – For Now

Sunday was one of the most painful losses in recent memory for the Chargers, as they were blasted at home by the New England Patriots 45-0.

The Bolts were never in the game, and were clearly outplayed and outcoached, much to the chagrin of the fan base as well as the front office.

With all that, there’s plenty of questions about the future for head coach Anthony Lynn, and if he will return for the 2021 season.

CBS Sports reports that, for now, Lynn’s job is safe, but it sounds more and more unless there’s a turnaround and the team is a LOT more competitive, that Lynn could be shown the door.

The Los Angeles Chargers have lost two straight games and currently reside at the bottom of the AFC West with a 3-9 record, but don’t expect head coach Anthony Lynn to be handed his walking papers anytime soon. According to Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network, no Chargers head coaching change is imminent. The organization reportedly has a “tremendous amount of respect” for Lynn and always has. The franchise would prefer to evaluate everything at the end of the year rather than make a quick decision about Lynn’s future.

The Chargers current head coach has had success, as when he came into the organization in 2017 he was able to get the organization to a winning mark of 9-7, and the following year the Bolts went 12-4, and even win a game on the road against the Baltimore Ravens.

Last year the club went backwards, going 5-11 and this season they are 3-9, going just 2-4 on the road and 1-5 at home in Los Angeles.

It’ll be the second straight losing season for Los Angeles, and some think it will be the last season for Lynn when it comes to him coaching the Chargers.

I have been a fan of the Chargers since 1975…. through thick and then. I was recently asked about being a season ticket holder. My response was quick, only if you get rid of Lynn and his staff. It has been an absolute embarrassment being a Chargers fan. For the last month there has been every excuse possible for their inept coaching mistakes…. Spanos family needs to pull the plug now…. there is not one fan who has faith in Lynn…I would suggest you troll the chargers Facebook pages , Does Spanos want to sell tickets? I know I won’t buy mine until he is gone….. FIRE LYNN NOW!!!
