Chargers Lose Leading RB Melvin Gordon to the Denver Broncos

The Los Angeles Chargers were dealt a massive blow on Friday as reports from around the free agency campfires state the team is set to lose running back Melvin Gordon to the AFC West rival Denver Broncos.

Last season Gordon ran for 612 yards and eight scores for the Chargers after he missed games with a number of nagging injuries.

In his five seasons with the Bolts the running back rushed for 4240 yards, putting up four yards a carry for the Chargers.

It always seemed as if Chargers fans were anxious for Gordon to have that ‘breakout’ season to make in into the top 3-4 backs in the league.

He’ll have it now with a team that always seems to put rushing the ball first in Denver.
