The Chargers have said ‘so long’ to veteran wide out James Jones, as the team has released the former Packers wide out.
Jones led the Packers in 2015 with 890 receiving yards off of 50 receptions.
He also led Green Bay’s wide receivers with eight touchdowns. That was a different stat line than 2014, a year in which he corralled a career-high 73 receptions for just 666 yards and six touchdowns for the Raiders.
The 32-year-old inked a one-year deal with the team earlier in August, a deal that was only for the minimum salary. Jones never really got things going in the Chargers offense.
Jones had a good solid career – he’s been a great player to watch over the years.
