Previewing The 2014 San Diego Chargers Schedule Release

The San Diego Chargers have been dancing on that fine line of mediocrity for years, and while they were still only 9-7 in 2013, new head coach Mike McCoy got them into the playoffs and even helped them to a win. San Diego could still go either way, but if they can improve on defense, there’s also a chance they could even rise up and compete for the AFC West crown.

It all starts at home, where the San Diego Chargers schedule welcomes New England, Jacksonville, St. Louis, Seattle and the New York Jets – not to mention the Chiefs and Broncos inside their own division. While playing at home usually gives San Diego a better chance of pulling out a win, visits from the Seahawks and Patriots should prove to be tough obstacles.

The Chargers will also want to focus on getting better on the road, but it may not be easy with trips to Buffalo, Miami, Baltimore, Arizona and San Francisco. Playing the tough NFC West is never easy, and it doesn’t help that two of those games are on the road.
