Gridiron Gab Week Four Preview – San Diego vs Kansas City

For the first two weeks of the season, the Chiefs looked like possibly the worst team in the league. They trailed 24-6 last week vs the Saints in New Orleans, and suddenly, everything changed.

But Jamaal Charles ripped off a franchise record-long 91-yard touchdown run, and the Chiefs woke up and eventually fought back for a huge OT win in the Superdome over the Saints 27-24.

“Games like this can build momentum throughout a season,” said receiver Steve Breaston. “Being able to win a game like that brings a team together.”

Charles, who had three yards on six carries at Buffalo in Week 2, finished with 233 yards on 33 carries in New Orleans. He had 288 total yards, joining Jim Brown as the only players to have 225 yards rushing and 50 yards receiving in the same game.
