Chargers Re-Sign Center Nick Hardwick to a Three-Year Deal

The Chargers are bringing back center Nick Hardwick, as the team has re-signed him to a three-year contract extension. Reports state the deal is worth $13.5 million.

A third-round pick out of Purdue in 2004, Hardwick has started 102 games over the last eight seasons, earning one trip to the Pro Bowl (2006) and missed most of one season (2009) with a broken foot. The 30-year-old Hardwick became a father during the 2011 season and contemplated retirement before deciding to continue his career.
