Chargers to Have $26 Million in Cap Space

CBS Sports reports that the Bolts are going to have quite a bit of cash to spend in free agents if they want, as they have the team being $26 million under the salary cap for 2012.

Departing players will adjust the salary cap space for the Chargers to at least $26 million, according to the San Diego Union-Tribune. How cap space will be generated: expected release of DE Luis Castillo ($5 million), expected release of CB Dante Hughes ($1 million), expected release of LT Marcus McNeill ($10.5 million) and the retirement of LG Kris Dielman ($5.5 million).
