Where have these guys been all season?

The Chargers played their best game in the prime time spotlight on Sunday night, pounding the Baltimore Ravens at Snapdragon Stadium 34-14 to push their 2011 record to .500 at 7-7.

Everything that could have gone right for the Chargers, did. They dominated with 415 yards of offense, and put up 34:12 in time of possession. They ran over the Ravens D for 145 yards on 37 carries, with Ryan Mathews going for 90 yards and a pair of scores.

Philip Rivers threw for 270 yards and a touchdown, and he also hit for a 28-yard touchdown to Malcom Floyd, in the Chargers third straight victory.

The Chargers are now tied with Oakland for second place in the AFC West and sit a game back of Denver for the top spot in the division.

The Bolts pulled ahead leading 10-7 with a huge TD right at the end of the half, as Mathews went in for a 1-yard TD with :19 seconds left in the second quarter to lead 17-7 at the break.

Rivers hit Floyd with a 28-yard touchdown just over four minutes into the third quarter, and then after a Joe Flacco pick, the Chargers went downfield and Mathews scored his second TD to make it 31-7.

Flacco hit Torrey Smith with a 36-yard TD with 1:55 remaining for a TD to close out the scoring at 34-14.

The Chargers defense limited the Ravens offense to 290 yards. Flacco was 23-for-34 for 226 yards with two TD’s and two picks. The Bolts also sacked him five times, and had 7 sacks overall.

Next week the Chargers will be back in action, as they take on Detroit at 1pm.
