Moves Made by the Bolts to Get the Roster to 53

The Chargers parted ways with 26 player on Saturday to reach the mandatory 53-man roster limit.

Linebacker Kevin Bentley, wide receiver Laurent Robinson, safety Quinton Teal and wideout Kelley Washington were released and became free agents. Robinson played in 14 games last year for St. Louis and had 34 catches for 344 yards and two TDs. while Washington had 13 grabs for 173 yards with a score in eight contests for the Chargers in 2010.

Also waived were wide receiver Seyi Ajirotutu, center Colin Baxter, linebacker Bront Bird, defensive end Mike Blanc, running back Curtis Brinkley, cornerback Ramon Broadway, defensive end Charlie Bryant, tight end Charles Davis, tackle Hutch Eckerson, defensive end Carl Ihenacho, defensive end Ogemdi Nwagbuo, running back Isaac Odim, fullback Dean Rogers, tackle Stephen Schilling, punter Ricky Schmitt, cornerback Traye Simmons, running back Frank Summers, tight end Brad Taylor, tackle Bo Thran, quarterback Scott Tolzien, linebacker Kion Wilson and tackle Eric Young were waived.

Additionally on Saturday, the Chargers placed safety Nick Polk (hand) and defensive tackle Damik Scafe (leg) on the reserve/injured list.
