Bolts Sign OLB Travis LaBoy

The Chargers have added an OLB to the roster through free agency, as the team has inked Travis LaBoy. The signing comes as the team looks to solidify their pass rush, and the deal on the table inked is for two seasons.

LaBoy played last season with the 49ers as a situational pass rusher. He wrapped up 2010 with five sacks. The Chargers will be LaBoy’s fourth different team in four years, as he has also played with the Cardinals and Titans before the Niners.

Greg Manusky, the Chargers defensive coordinator, held the same role with San Francisco last season. It was LaBoy’s familiarity with the coach and his scheme that convinced him to sign with the team, just as ILB Takeo Spikes did earlier in the week.
