Panthers Site Says Ravens and Chargers Two Teams WR Smith Would Play For

Panthers blog “Carolina Growl” once again brings up the Steve Smith rumors, and this time they go a step further, stating that the Chargers and Ravens are two teams in the mix for Smith in 2011 and beyond.

A lot of reports have been circulating lately about the future of Carolina Panthers star wide receiver Steve Smith. On Tuesday, Smith told Pro Football Weekly he’s not “demanded” the Panthers trade him. As previously reported, three reliable sources have confirmed to Steve Reed of the Gaston Gazette Smith wants out of Carolina. One source said Smith is most interested in playing for San Diego or Baltimore. In the Pro Football Weekly story, Smith said the following: On his future: “What I want to do is be classy and not tip my cards, be respectful to the (Panthers) organization. It’s not me saying, ‘Yes, I want a trade.’ It’s still a family matter, and when my family feels it’s the appropriate time, our actions will show how we feel.”
