Nick Hardwick Optimistic About a New Labor Deal Getting Done

Nick Hardwick is sitting just like the other players in the NFL today after being locked out, but the Charger seems to think that a deal is going to get done sooner rather than later.

“I guess we’re kind of in limbo,” said Hardwick, the Chargers center and the team’s union representative (or former representative, since there technically is no union following decertification). “We’ll have to see how it plays out over the next couple weeks before we get our marching orders.

“In general, I’m optimistic,” he said. “I’m going to stay that way. I’m going to control what I can control. I hope all my teammates have that same approach.”
