Chargers Ink LB Brandon Moore

The Chargers today inked linebacker Brandon Moore and announced the previously-reported release of linebacker Darry Beckwith.

Moore is a 6-foot-1, 240-pounder former San Francisco 49ers linebacker who has recorded 242 career tackles and 15 sacks, but hasn’t played in an NFL game since 2007. He spent all six of his NFL seasons in San Francisco and made 92 tackles and 6 1/2 sacks in 2006, his best statistical season. The Arizona Cardinals released him in 2008 during final roster cuts and he played for the United Football League’s Las Vegas Locomotives the past two years, helping the team to two championships.

Moore also has extensive experience on special teams, including a team-best 22 tackles for the 49ers’ units in 2004. His brother Rob Moore made the Pro Bowl as a receiver with Arizona.
