Chargers’ Early Week 8 Updates

Today, head coach Norv Turner told Kevin Acee of the San Diego Union-Tribune that he believed that wide receiver Legedu Naanee would be back for the Chargers’ Week 8 game against the Tennessee Titans on Sunday. However, he doesn’t believe that wide receiver Malcom Floyd or kicker Nate Kaeding will be ready to return by Sunday.

There are still about 10,000 tickets that need to be sold by Thursday in order for the Chargers’ home game against the Titans to not be blacked out. Sorry local Charger fans, but that might not be such a bad thing considering the Chargers’ only wins this season have come during home games that were blacked out.

Since 1990, there have only been three teams that have made it to the playoffs after starting the season 2-5. Not very promising, but lets hope that the Chargers can make it four.

As a side note, offensive tackle Ryan Otterson has been signed back to the practice squad after recently being released.
