Sunday’s Home Game May Be First to Not Fall Victim to Blackout

According to ProFootballTalk, the Chargers are close to selling out their Sunday home game against the New England Patriots. It would be their first home game this season that wasn’t blacked out on local television.

So with a 2-4 team that lost against the Rams in St. Louis limping home, a Chargers team that failed to sell out its first two home games by considerable margins will fail to do so again, right?

Maybe not.

The Chargers have announced that only 2,000 non-premium seats remain, along with 400 club seats.  The fact that they’re playing the Patriots could have something to do with that.

The Chargers must sell all non-premium seats by Thursday at 4:15 p.m. ET or face another blackout.

Next weekend, the Chargers host the Titans.
