Here is a list of a few players, both veteran and rookie, that I think will have outstanding seasons and will contribute in whatever success the Chargers have. Veterans: With a somewhat disappointing rookie season behind him, outside linebacker Larry English is hoping that he can avoid the sophomore slump and make a few more [...]

Get a Brand New Gillette Fusion ProGlide!
When you thinking shaving, you think Gillette, not those other brands that do a sub-par job at giving us a close shave while protecting our skin. Something that’s always been a hurdle for product makers in the past has been the “tug and pull” dilemma. The ProGlide, part of Gillette’s ProSeries, packs significant enhancements, that [...]
Mathews Will Always Be a Disappointment
The San Diego Charger’s 2010 first round draft pick, Fresno State running back Ryan Mathews, is looking to be an outstanding new addition as OTAs continue on. He seems up to the task of taking over as the Chargers leading rushing threat, acting as a compliment to third-down back Darren Sproles. The Chargers offense struggled [...]

If lifeguarding at the community pool or working indoors at the local mall this summer doesn’t appeal to you – but earning $50,000 and becoming an overnight celebrity road tripping with your best friend does – then grab your camera and prepare a one-minute video application for the Gillette® Fusion® ProGlide™ “Ultimate Summer Job” contest. DL Travis Johnson inks his first-round tender
The National Football Post reports that DL Travis Johnson has inked his first-round tender: Chargers defensive lineman Travis Johnson signed his first-round restricted tender, a one-year contract worth $1.226 million. The former Houston Texans first-round draft pick was acquired via a trade last August. Last season, he recorded 16 tackles in 13 games for the [...]
Ellison arrested for having 100 Vicodin pills
SS Kevin Ellison was arrested Monday on suspicion of possessing a controlled substance. Pulled over for speeding, Ellison was found to have 100 pills of Vicodin. He was released on $10,000 bond. Ellison didn’t have a prescription, so he’s probably lucky to not have been charged with attempting to distribute. A sixth-round pick in 2009, [...]
Grand jury: Qualcomm Stadium loses $17M a year
A report by the county grand jury says the city of San Diego loses about $17 million per year renting the city-owned Qualcomm Stadium to the Chargers. The grand jury report released Wednesday says that not including other income from non-Chargers events, the stadium is “a losing proposition.” The city collects $2.5 million per season [...]
Peter King Ranks Chargers 2nd in 2010 Power Rankings
I didn’t like how much the Chargers traded to get Ryan Mathews (the 28th and 40th picks in a strong draft) when they probably could have gotten him for less, but that doesn’t mean I don’t like what Mathews is going to do. I think he’ll be the offensive rookie of the year. He has [...]
