Five Chargers Miss Wednesday Practice
Chargers S Eric Weddle (knee), DE Luis A. Castillo (calf), DE Travis Johnson (groin), DT Ogemdi Nwagbuo (ankle) and LB Shaun Phillips (ankle) missed the team’s practice Wednesday, Dec. 2.
LB Shawne Merriman Could Be Held Out Of Sunday’s Game
The Chargers are believed to be concerned with Shawne Merriman’s nagging foot ailment, according to the San Diego Union-Tribune. The stud pass rusher could miss Sunday’s game at Cleveland, and could potentially be on the shelf beyond that as well. The organization also reportedly thinks that Merriman may not get better unless he rests.
