Looks Like Tomlinson Won’t Go Saturday Night vs Atlanta

Head Coach Norv Turner says that he has not decided if LaDainian Tomlinson will play in Saturday night’s exhibition at Atlanta, but all signs indicate that LT’s preseason has already come to an end, the San Diego Union-Tribune reports. Turner indicated that he doesn’t want Tomlinson risking an injury on the turf in Atlanta, and he is not likely to play in the final preseason game next week, so we probably will not see anymore of #21 until the games count for real. Tomlinson did get in some nice work in the first two games and looked healthy, so maybe he will get off to a faster start this season than he has in recent years.

I was very excited to see LT play some in the preseason this year, and I will be equally happy to see hit sit on Saturday. He has had a chance to knock the rust off and get ready for the season but there is no reason to risk injury considering they will be playing on Turf this weekend. Time to start thinking about game 1 vs the Raiders!
