Chargers OLB Shawne Merriman, discussing his rehab from season-ending knee surgery that sidelined him 15 games last year, as quoted on Myrtle Beach Online: “I’m still progressing. When I’ll be 100 percent is when I feel like I’ll be able to go out there and do everything without thinking about it. Thing is, I’ll go out there and do it, but I’m still thinking about it. That’s the thing. It’s not whether I can do it or not. I can do it. You have to self-consciously think about things when you’re not 100 percent.” Merriman added: “Unless I go out there and get two or three sacks, it won’t be enough for anybody. When I look at the film, I’m looking at probably something different. And point blank, I’m going to be me at the end of the day. I can find the ball blindfolded and that’s just how it is.”
