A former Browns offensive coordinator seems to be in line to come to San Diego to be the teams new assistant coach and coach the tight ends. Here’s the note on it in today’s San Diego Union Tribune.
The Chargers are finalizing details of a contract for Rob Chudzinski to coach their tight ends and also be assistant head coach, sources said yesterday. The hiring, sources said, is designed to free up some of coach Norv Turner’s time and attention. Chudzinski, the Chargers’ tight ends coach in 2005 and 2006 before becoming the Cleveland Browns’ offensive coordinator in 2007, will have immense input in the game plan and assist Turner in game-day decisions.
