RB Sproles Liklely to Bolt After the Season as a Free Agent

The Chargers will be likely losing another running back this offseason, as Darren Sproles, is due to become a free agent after this season and will likely get some activity on the open market.  Sproles has amassed 1,708 all-purpose yards on the season. He’s averaging 25.4 yards on kickoffs and 10.4 yards on punt returns. On offense, he has 212 rushing yards with a team-best average of 4.7 yards per carry, and he has caught 20 passes for 268 yards and three touchdowns. For the most part, Sproles has actually looked much more explosive than LaDainian Tomlinson this year. The Bolts want to bring him back and will likely try to get a new deal done, but Sproles might prefer to jump ship if another team offers him more playing time. After all, that worked out pretty well for Tomlinson’s previous backup, Michael Turner.
