Chargers Move Quickly to Sign Just Released RB Bennett

Just hours after his release from the Tampa Bay Bucs, the Chargers quickly moved to sign running back Michael Bennett. The 8-year vet come to the team after appearing in 13 games since October 2007 with the Bucs, rushing for 201 yards with a TD on 48 carries. He has 13 career TD’s, five coming in 2002 in which he made the Pro Bowl with the Vikings. Bennett was given his walking papers by the Bucs when they moved Carnell Williams to the active roster.
