Posted in The Chargers will travel to Denver to play the Broncos on Sunday. This will be the first division game of the season for the Chargers, who will be looking for their fifth straight win over the Broncos. The Chargers are coming off of a disappointing 26-24 loss to the Carolina Panthers last Sunday.

Chargers linebacker Shawne Merriman has decided to end his season after a painful first game on Sunday. According to a team statement, Merriman reconsidered his decision to forego surgery to repair torn ligaments in his left knee. He is expected to return in time to start the 2009 season.
