Rivers Had Surgery Monday; L.T. Won’t

In an update on QB Philip Rivers, he’s now saying that he has arthroscopic surgery on his right knee a week ago so that he could take the field yesterday in the AFC Title game vs the Pats. He also said that he will be getting surgery asap for his torn ACL. “It’s gone,” he said. “I don’t know exactly the details on that. I’ll be ready by training camp.” As far as surgery last week, one has to wonder if the Chargers broke the rules as far as not reporting the injury. Same goes for LaDainian Tomlinson, who while he did take the field for three plays, clearly was not 100 percent, unlike what it looked with him being cleared to play. L.T. will not be having surgery on his sprained MCL, but did say that he will be sitting out the worthless Pro Bowl in a few weeks.
