Jamal Williams Expected to Play at Minnesota

Chargers DT Jamal Williams is expected to return to the lineup Sunday when the Chargers will try to extend their three-game winning streak in Minnesota. Williams will hopefully play a valuable role against the Vikings as they run the ball much more than they pass. Vikings QB Tarvaris Jackson is expected to return as well this weekend. He broke the index finger on his throwing hand against Dallas and hasn’t played since. His backup QB Kelly Holcomb however, will not be ready to go this weekend as he suffered a neck injury in last week’s loss. Jackson saw limited action in practice on Wednesday. Don’t expect Minnesota to put the ball in the air very much this weekend because Jackson wasn’t very impressive when he was healthy and the injury to his hand will likely hamper his ability to throw accurate passes. The Vikings will likely try to pound the ball with rookie RB Adrian Peterson and that is why Williams’ return is so important this weekend.
