Chargers Game Against Houston May Not Be Played In SD

The Chargers game against Houston at Qualcomm Stadium may not take place Sunday in San Diego due to wildfires burning in and around the city. The team already moved their practices to Arizona to make room for temporary housing facilities at Qualcomm for the estimated half-million people who are without homes due to the still-burning blazes. About forty Chargers players and personnel were forced to evacuate their homes, including star running back LaDanian Tomlinson. San Diego State’s home football game against Brigham Young University was postponed due to blazes. It was rescheduled for December 1st at Qualcomm. This is not the first time the San Diego area and its sports teams were affected by fires. The Chargers moved a Monday night home game to Phoenix four years ago due to deadly wildfires as the Qualcomm Stadium parking lot was used as an evacuation area.
