Chargers Season Tickets Sold Out

Kevin Acee of The San Diego Union-Tribune is reporting that the San Diego Chargers will announce later today that their supply of season tickets for the 2007 season have been exhausted.  Beginning Wednesday at 8 AM (PST), individual game tickets will be available to the general public, which should sell out rather quickly.

Chargers Chief Operating Officer Jim Steeg emphasized the importance of making tickets available for those who don’t have the financial means to purchase season tickets, as he stated to The San Diego Union-Tribune, “We thought it was important that we give an opportunity (to buy tickets) to people that can’t afford (season tickets).”  The team is currently forming, for the first time since the 1984 season, a waiting list for future season tickets.
