Bye Bye Marty, Hello Coach Norv Turner

Former Chargers Head Coach Marty Schottenheimer
The biggest loss that the San Diego Chargers are going to have to overcome this season is the loss of Head Coach Marty Schottenheimer. Losing both coordinators makes overcoming the loss of Marty even more difficult. Cam Cameron and Wade Phillips both proved in San Diego that they deserve the oppurtunity to be head coaches in the NFL, too bad not for the Chargers. It was disappointing that the Chargers’ Executives didn’t anticipate the departure of Marty and sign one of the outstanding coordinators as head coach. But Marty, Cam and Wade are all gone. We must forget.

Norv Turner. Norv Turner? The one great thing he has going for him is the fact the he installed the offense in SD a few years back. The one giant thing that he does not have that Marty did: the ability to Motivate. Norv doesn’t have a history of being very close with his players while Marty became very loved by the players on his teams.

It’s a new day in San Diego. The shake up on the caoching staff could be just what the doctor ordered. The chargers are arguably the most talented team in the NFL; the best player in the league is a Bolt, LT. But the Bolts were unable to get it done last post-season. SD has a great chance at going all the way this year and Bolt’s fans sould be very excited.
